INSTRUCTIONS FOR BREWING: [The tea must be consumed within two weeks, as it is perishable after that period of time.] Date your container
1. Bring one gallon plus one cup of spring water to a boil and reduce to a simmer.
2. Add herbs stirring periodically for 10 minutes. Slant cover on the pan to reduce
evaporation.
3. Turn heat off, cover pan, and leave at room temperature for 12 hours.
4. The following day, funnel into a gallon container and refrigerate. [You may strain 50%
of the herbs through a colander, but it is preferred the dosage be consumed full strength].
The herbs increase the efficacy level. Your spring water container is safe for storage.
Plastic has to be exposed to 75 degrees [or above] to cause chemical leaching.
DOSAGE:
Drink [3], three ounce portions a day, at least one-half hour prior to meals or, one hour after meals. Essiac can be added to a vegetable juice if you are having difficulty with the taste. SHAKE WELL BEFORE POURING.
Occasionally, during the first week, some experience detox symptoms. If so, decrease the dosage, then increase after one week. When tests return to normal, a maintenance dose is recommended for six months [3 ounces per day]. Mix ½ bag of herbs with ½ gallon + one cup of water. Essiac can be used as a general detoxification agent.
